Now, folks, as anyone who has passed the first grade can tell you, June only has 30 days, meaning that Greene’s request is literally impossible. While, as Forbes noted, President Biden could possibly add another day to June to accommodate Greene’s request, inadvertently lengthening both pride month and hot girl summer, the chances of him doing so, or responding at all, are relatively slim due to the letter’s pretty inflammatory nature.
While some reports have discussed the potential origins of the virus, Greene’s letter is steeped in bold assertions, loaded questions, and racism. Aside from referring to Covid-19 as the “China virus,” a racist term that according to one study, sparked an increase in anti-Asian sentiment after former President Trump used the language in a tweet, Greene also explicitly stated that “novel Coronavirus, a manufactured plague created at the Wuhan Institute of Virology and released on the world in November 2019″ without providing a single drop of evidence to back up her claims. The letter also placed a significant amount of blame on Dr. Anthony Fauci, the Director of the U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, and featured several strangely-worded questions, including “is there evidence that Covid-19 is a bioweapon?”
So folks, to paraphrase the old adage, “Thirty days hath September, April, June and November. All the rest have thirty-one, Excepting February alone, And that has twenty-eight days clear. And twenty-nine in each leap year. Also if your MTG, June has 31, I fear.
